Uh... That's how nostrils work, in case you haven't noticed. One nostril rests while the other one does all the work. It's called nasal cycle and it alternates every two hours. |

Does this include fictional substances with magical abilities? Or technological stuff that hasn't been invented yet (like medical nanotech)? If so this is an incredibly versatile ability. |
