If the mice are ones meant to be pets and aren't hungry this would be kinda cool.

When I hear "vat of mice" I don't think about the pet kind.

The magic compass dissapears when you get to the car. If you don't drive then there is someone to drive the car who won't see you until you are clothed.

I really wanted that compass. :( It would have been totally worth an unpleasant 2 mile hike.
